Lite → Pro
Upgrading takes three steps, and none of them are re-typing
Each edition keeps its records in its own private storage, so moving up is a deliberate hand-off — one file out of Lite, one file into Pro. The app does most of it for you.
- Export your backup from Lite If you came here from Lite's "Upgrade to Pro" button, this already happened — a backup file was saved to your downloads on the way out. If not, open Lite → Import/Export → Export backup and keep that file handy. Don't skip it: it's how your program travels.
- Choose a plan and get your key Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy. They'll email you a license key, usually within a minute or two.
- Activate Pro and import Open pro.kennelos.app, paste the key when it asks, then go to Import/Export → Restore backup and pick the file from step 1. Your dogs, litters, pairings, sales and history all land exactly as they were — and the limits are gone.

What happens to my Lite copy?
Nothing — it stays exactly where it is, with everything in it, until you clear it yourself. Import into Pro first, check it all arrived, and only then tidy up Lite if you want to.
